Lavender wands, or fuseaux de lavande, can be traced back to the 18th century in the Provence region of France. With the rise of the perfume trade, lavender moved from a medicinal herb to a sought-after essential oil. In this workshop with Erin Cox you will be creating with all natural fibers, cotton ribbon or, if you are feeling adventurous, dandelion stems to delicately weave around the fragrant flowers. Once the blooms are enclosed, they are safe to toss in a linen drawer or add fragrance to any space. The scent can last for years and easily refreshed with a drop of essential oil.
