We’re bringing you the most sizzlin’ ska and punk Yorkshire have to offer, with soundtracks to your summer from:
Hot Squash: Everyone’s favourite rising stars on the UK ska-punk scene, Hot Squash bring energetic, catchy tunes tackling everything from alien abduction and ADHD to pancakes and robot boyfriends. Blending second- and third-wave ska, 90s skate punk, and punchy all-female pop harmonies with unapologetic feminist energy, they’ve been described as “a breath of fresh air” on the scene!
Mustard Mitt: Mustard Mitt are a pop punk band standing apart from the rest, with a plethora of emo, pop punk, punk and nu metal influences and a homely Yorkshire accent making them sound familiar and yet refreshingly unique.
DK vs The Kingdom: Once you get too old to hang out playing video games with your mates, what do you do? Form a ska punk band so you can meet up and sing about it instead. Lifelong friends from Leeds singing about things they do … but more fun.
It wouldn’t be a Lavajuice gig without us going all out.. so prepare to dress up in your finest Hawaiian shirt, your weekend lifeguarding get-up, your favourite swimsuit, even your ‘BBQ legend’ apron.. because there’s a prize for best dressed!
And last but by no means least, we will have the amazing Ska Bar Steve of Bootboy Radio as our resident DJ for the night!
