Laurie Dameron is coming to The Den at The Howlin' Wolf!Billboard Magazine award recipient, Laurie Dameron, has been playing the guitar forover 50 years and singing even longer. Between solo performances and performanceswith her band, Laurie D and the Blues Babes, she has performed for hundreds ofvenues in and out of Colorado over the past 30 years. A broad repertoire folk, blues,and jazz allows her to perform many different venues. She has produced three CDs andcurrently working on fourth and fifth and also has four singles out. Dameron has wonnumerous song contests. She passed the first round of America's Got Talent in 2013.Laurie is a long time member of Denver Musician's Association (AFM Local 20-623) andColorado Music Business Association.In 1996 Dameron composed, arranged and produced her first album, "Utah Dream". Itconsists of many genres including folk, blues, rock, country and one jazz tune. Shedoes all the vocal and guitar work, rhythm and lead, except for one song and much ofthe percussion.Dameron's second album "Looking Through the Blue" is all original jazz and is self produced and arranged. She does all the guitar work, vocals and much of thepercussion."I Can't Wait to See You Again" is her third album with one original, the title cut, whichwon honorable mention in the 2008 and 2009 Billboard Magazine World Song Contestand also 12 of her favorite jazz standards.
