Lauren Henderson’s voice is both compass and canvas, guiding listeners through jazz, soul, and Latin traditions while painting them with intimacy and depth. Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Panama, Montserrat, and the Caribbean, Henderson is a bilingual vocalist, composer, and songwriter who blends tradition and innovation into music that feels personal and universal.
Her sound weaves luminous harmonies, ruminative syncopation, and rhythms spanning tender ballads, swinging arrangements, flamenco, Afro-Caribbean grooves, and heartfelt storytelling. Recognized by the Recording Academy as one of “10 Jazz Artists Blending and Expanding the Sounds of Latin America” and featured on GRAMMY.com, Henderson has climbed into the Jazz Charts Top 5 and Jazz Week’s Year-End Top 40.
