Welcome to a magical evening of Baroque music with prominent Croatian musicians Laura Vadjon on a violin and Pavao Mašić on organ of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble, shared stage by special guests Irish Baroque Orchestra Apprentices: Jeannette Bogado on violin, and Sophie Ní Mhaoláin on cello, at St Mary's Church on Haddington Road.

Violinist Laura Vadjon is the first ever Croatian baroque violinist, one of the initiators of new stylistic movements and the leading name of early music in Croatia. She is the director and concert master of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble and unique Korkyra Baroque Festival, organized in Pelješac penninsula in Croatia. Laura Vadjon plays an old historical instrument, built by a famous Italian string instruments builder, Giovanni Battista Guadagnini in 1751.
Pavao Mašić, winner of the Grand Prix Bach at the 2006 Bach Organ Competition in Lausanne, is a Croatian concert organist and harpsichordist, with a particular affinity for the Baroque and Romantic repertoire, especially the music of J. S. Bach and French composers. His highly acclaimed performances are characterized by profound artistry, virtuosity and erudition.
Jeannette Bogado is a violinist from Paraguay who loves playing chamber music and teaching, she has experience with orchestras in Paraguay, Argentina, Venezuela, Germany and now in Ireland where she’s studying an MA in Classical Music Performance. She has participated in several community projects in her country and in the El Sistema, Venezuela.
Sophie Ní Mhaoláin is a cellist in her fourth year of undergraduate study in the RIAM with William Butt & Aoife Nic Athlaoich. Sophie has just spent a year in the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark with Henrik Brendstrup and has recently participated in masterclasses with Raphael Wallfisch, Iagoba Fanlo & Dora Kokas.
