Laura Targett
Fiddler, songwriter and musical shapeshifter Laura Targett lights up every stage with music that is rich, raw and unmistakably her own. Drawing on Irish fiddle traditions with Balkan, Middle Eastern and experimental influences, she joins acclaimed guitarist Tom Botting for a dynamic performance blending driving rhythms, heartfelt melodies and spontaneous musical magic. This concert features music from Laura's new album, The Road to Tpot, recorded in Scotland with some of the great names of contemporary folk and world music. Blending traditional roots with fearless creativity, these new works are vibrant, deeply moving and full of life.
"Enthralling musical choices, virtuoso playing and driving rhythms."
