Need help with laundry expenses? Join us on the first Tuesday of each month at The Wash House Laundry Center (8035 Kingston Pike). You just provide the laundry, and we'll supply the quarters and detergent for up to 3 loads per family! We'll have free food, fun for the kids, and plenty of hands to help with folding laundry. No questions asked, no strings attached. Just neighbors helping neighbors!To help things go smoothly, we will follow these rules:
☑ ONE EVENT PER MONTH - Since our goal is to serve as many families as we can, each family will be allowed to attend only one Laundry Love event each month, either on the first Tuesday at The Wash House or the third Thursday at WaveMAX.
☑ LIMIT OF 60 FAMILIES - We will provide free laundry to the first 60 families. The number of machines in the laundromat will not allow more than this during our three-hour event.
☑ 3 LOADS PER FAMILY - We offer the equivalent of three 20-pound loads for each family. To help you estimate, a 13-gallon kitchen trash bag can hold around 20 pounds of laundry. Due to the large demand, we absolutely cannot make exceptions.
☑ 1 SIGN-IN PER FAMILY - While the whole family is welcome to come and eat, we only allow 3 loads per family, not per person. Please do not have more than one member of the household sign in to get 3 loads of laundry. Please bring proof of address (ID or mail) to your first event for verification.
☑ LAST LOADS START AT 7:30 - While our event runs until 8 PM, we will not start new wash loads after 7:30 so our volunteers are able to leave at a reasonable time.
