Launching the NAARS Community of Practice (Ottawa and Lanark County)
In partnership with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), OLIP is convening a virtual meeting with IRCC-funded organizations and other community partners to launch the Needs and Assets Assessment and Referral Services (NAARS) Community of Practice for Ottawa and Lanark-Renfrew counties regions.
The Community of Practice (CoP) brings together organizations with a shared interest in ensuring newcomers have timely and appropriate access to NAARS—particularly in supporting connections to eligible (re)settlement services within their communities.
The CoP is intended to foster the exchange of knowledge, information, and promising practices to improve access to NAARS for newcomers, strengthen referral pathways to settlement services, and support the broader transition to a new NAARS delivery model: the Dedicated NAARS Service Provider (DNS).
The launch event will take place on February 2, 2026, as an in-person meeting with a virtual attendance option. Each organization is asked to designate one representative to attend in person. Please consult with your colleagues to identify and confirm your in-person representative.

Lancement de la communauté de pratique NAARS (Ottawa et comté de Lanark)
En partenariat avec Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada (IRCC), le PLIO organise une réunion virtuelle avec les organisations financées par l'IRCC et d'autres partenaires communautaires afin de lancer la communauté de pratique NAARS (Needs and Assets Assessment and Referral Services) pour les régions d'Ottawa et les comtés de Lanark-Renfrew.
La communauté de pratique (CoP) rassemble des organisations qui partagent le même intérêt, à savoir garantir aux nouveaux arrivants un accès rapide et approprié aux NAARS, en particulier en facilitant leur mise en relation avec les services de (ré)installation admissibles au sein de leurs communautés.
La CoP vise à favoriser l'échange de connaissances, d'informations et de pratiques prometteuses afin d'améliorer l'accès des nouveaux arrivants aux NAARS, de renforcer les voies d'orientation vers les services d'établissement et de soutenir la transition vers un nouveau modèle de prestation des NAARS : le fournisseur de services NAARS dédié (DNS).
L'événement de lancement aura lieu le 2 février 2026 sous la forme d'une réunion en présentiel avec une option de participation virtuelle. Chaque organisation est invitée à désigner un représentant qui participera en présentiel. Veuillez consulter vos collègues afin d'identifier et de confirmer votre représentant qui participera en présentiel.
