Join the Dames Commander Society as we support the launch of the School Library Association's 90th anniversary campaign.
The School Library Association is the only UK charity dedicated solely to supporting school libraries and the children and young people who benefit from them. For almost 90 years, the organisation has championed the right of every child and young person to access a high-quality school library that supports reading, learning, wellbeing, enrichment and opportunity.
In 2027 the School Library Association will mark its 90th anniversary with a national campaign designed not only to celebrate school libraries, but to secure lasting impact and improve access to books for millions of children and young people across the UK.
Joined by Dame Jacqueline Wilson, the charity will share an exclusive look at the year ahead, sharing more about why investment in school libraries is the best investment that can be made in encouraging reading for pleasure.
Come and raise a toast to the importance of books and literature, and their enduring importance in improving outcomes for all children and young people.
