Elisha burned all his oxen, burned what he made a living off of, he burned all that he owned and left nothing for him to come back to if pursuing his future didn’t work out. Elisha left nothing for tomorrow. Elisha decided to pursue the future God was calling him to. Believing God, he asked for a double portion of his mentor’s Spirit.

 Elisha grew angry at King Joash for striking the ground 3 times when he could’ve struck it 6, 7, 8, 9 times and gain the victory all those times!  The Bible doesn’t mention of any instructions when the prophet of God spoke to the King. How many times have we limited our future victories due to a lack of belief that there is more out there for us? That the possibilities are endless, and we can gain the victory 6, 7, 8, 9 10 times over! Elisha asked for a double portion, what of he could’ve received a 4x, 10x 20x portion.
