We’re excited to officially launch The Yard:MK — a brand-new, inclusive community space created to bring children, young people, families and the wider Milton Keynes community together.
Come along on Friday 2 October and be one of the first people to explore the space, meet the team, try out some of our activities and discover everything The Yard:MK will have to offer.
🌟 What is The Yard:MK?
The Yard:MK has been created as a place where Families, children and young people can belong, explore, create, learn and have fun — without having to fit into a box.
Developed by The Spectrum Place, The Yard:MK brings together inclusive activities, immersive experiences, creativity, STEM, gaming, sensory experiences, enterprise and community support under one roof.
It has been designed particularly with neurodiverse children and young people, SEND families and those who may struggle in traditional environments in mind — but everyone is welcome.

The Yard:MK is more than just an activity space.
It has been created in response to what families have told us they need: somewhere they can come without judgement, where children aren't made to feel that they are "too much", "too difficult" or don't fit in.
We want The Yard:MK to be a place where families feel welcomed, understood and included.
Whether your child needs a quieter environment, additional support, sensory adjustments, time to settle in or simply the freedom to enjoy activities in their own way — we want to make space for them.
