Launch of the Czech-Irish Relations Bibliography
Resulting from approximately 25 years of research, the bibliography provides a comprehensive online survey of Czech translations of Irish writing, reflections on Irish culture and politics, the development of diplomatic relations and other vital information about the relations between the Czechs and the Irish from the 18th century to the present day.
The bibliography will be launched by H.E. Alan Gibbons, Ambassador of Ireland, Prof. Václav Cvrček, Vice-Dean for Research of the Faculty of Arts and Prof. Ondřej Pilný, Director of the Centre for Irish Studies, and will feature a demonstration of some of its content.
The upgrade of the online bibliography has been supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland and the LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ (Digital Research Infrastructure for Language Technologies, Arts and Humanities) project.
All welcome, refreshments to follow.
