Launch of Monto AR: An Immersive Journey Through Dublin’s Hidden Past

Join us for the launch of Monto AR, an innovative augmented reality experience that brings to life the complex and often overlooked history of Dublin’s notorious Monto district. This project, a collaboration between writer/director Jennifer Shortall and Imvizar, invites you to explore the virtually reconstructed landmarks of early 20th-century Monto.

During the event, attendees will be guided in small groups to experience Monto AR first-hand, walking through immersive scenes that highlight the district’s unique past through the lens of augmented reality. Supported by Screen Ireland and Animation Ireland, this project combines historical storytelling with advanced AR technology.
