Dr Jo Prendergast is an Ōtautahi Christchurch based comedian, improviser, actor, psychiatrist and author. She is often tired!
Jo’s multi award-winning debut comedy show ‘Jo Ghastly: The Cool Mum’ toured Australia and NZ plus Gilded Balloon Edinburgh Fringe 2024. Her second show ‘Cancer and Cartwheels’ toured Australian and NZ festivals 2025. Her third solo show, ‘Dr Jo Prendergast is #coping’ will be touring festivals in 2026/2027. Her book ‘When Life Sucks’ was on 2023 Best Seller lists.
