Are folks always telling you that you should do standup? Have you ever wanted to try improv? Do you want to know what it takes to write something that makes someone laugh til they cry? Or, do you just like to laugh at people being funny? Join us in April for Laughter at the Library! This series of programs is for adults to participate in lighthearted foolishness. Improv Shop will be at the library for two sessions of Improv 101, and St. Louis-based comedy writer Todd Mitchell will lead two comedy writing workshops. At the end of April, come be in the audience for a live Improv Showcase in the auditorium. Mark Twain once said, “The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.”
Limited space is available. Registration is required. Must be 18+ to participate in improv and writing workshops.

April 29- Whose Library is it Anyway? (All Ages)
Come to Central Library on April 29th at 6pm for laughter and cheer as The Improv Shop performs in Whose Library is it Anyway. During this performance, the improv group will create characters, scenes, and songs as they play short-form improvisational games. You can participate as an audience member by offering ideas for games and skits that the players will draw upon for your comedic entertainment. Most importantly, you will laugh! Registration is required. All ages are welcome for this family-friendly show.
