About this Event

Celebrate the end of Earth Month With an Interactive Workshop on Birds of Prey with Latino Outdoors leader and falconer Taylor Brotons. Learn about the origins of falconry all the way to its modern practice, how it is a part of wildlife conservation, and ask any questions you may have on raptor behavior or morphology, then watch a training demonstration with live birds of prey!

The Deering Estate has some of the highest quality and most diverse natural resources remaining in Miami-Dade County. The Estate is one of the few remaining Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) in Miami-Dade County. Amongst our 8 South Florida ecosystems, the Deering Estate stewards 120 acres of pine rocklands, a globally imperiled habitat and one of the richest sources of the earth’s biodiversity.

Please meet at the Visitor Center- Exhibit Room in Deering Estate.

This is an all ages event. For any questions please feel free to email [email protected] Particpants must fill out this waiver to join this event.
