About this Event
Join the Latino Heritage Month Tree Planting & Tree Adoption event!
The City of Los Angeles Councilmember Imelda Padilla from Council District 6, the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works Commissioner Teresa Villegas, Los Angeles Sanitation & Environment, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, City Plants, Los Angeles Conservation Corps, and California Climate Action Corps invite you to a day of celebrating the rich tapestry of Latino heritage by planting trees for a cooler, healthier Los Angeles!
Volunteer registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. Please wear close-toed shoes. We recommend sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle for personal use.
Los Angeles Conservation Corps will host a FREE tree adoption and distribute shade trees for City of LA residents to plant on private property. Proof of residence within the City of LA will be required to take a tree home for planting. For City Plants adoption rules, please visit our website.
Funding for this project is provided by the Inflation Reduction Act and the USDA Forest Service, Urban and Community Forestry Program.
The City of Los Angeles is an equal opportunity provider. For more information about this event, please reach out to City Plants via email [email protected].
