Latin Heritage Kick-Off, Sept 15th 12p-5p

We are excited to announce that Austin Latinas Unidas, the community arm of The Latina Foundation, is partnering with Arriba Abajo and SXSW to host a Latin Heritage Kickoff event on Sunday, September 15th, from 12 PM to 5 PM at The Thompson Hotel's rooftop cantina.

As we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, we recognize the rich contributions of the Latin American diaspora in the United States. Austin Latinas Unidas is dedicated to empowering Latinas in our community, with a special emphasis on supporting Latina/x-owned businesses in Central Texas. This kickoff event will showcase a diverse range of vendors, a guest DJ, and live performances, all under one roof.

In support of our mission, Arriba Abajo will donate 20% of the proceeds from a specialty cocktail to The Latina Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on empowering Latinas through personal development, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. We hope to see you there!
