DOCUMENTARY (ECUADOR)

It is about an Ecuadorian political party backed by the indigenous communities.

Warmi Pachakutik is an approach to the creativity of a new generation of Kichwa woman. Through their activism they manage to generate changes and to make others question the meaning of belonging, roles and thought. Artist, political activist and entrepreneurs, they present a look at a reality still unknown to most Ecuadorians. These women committed to their reality assume the process of supporting change, the recovery of spaces and the construction of a feminine identity from the Andean cosmo-existence.

Pachakuti, a Quechua word, literally translates to mean the return of time, change, or disturbance. This prophecy therefore speaks of a period of upheaval and cosmic transformation. It signifies a reversal of the world, an overturning of the space/time continuum, and fortells of a grand cataclysmic event.
