Latin American Film Festival: "Esperando la carroza" (Argentina)

"Esperando la Carroza" is an Argentine comedy film directed by Alejandro Doria and released in 1985. The plot revolves around a middle-class family in Buenos Aires who gather to celebrate the birthday of the matriarch, "Mama Cora". During the celebration, conflicts and rivalries among family members come to light, and chaos ensues when Mama Cora falls asleep outside her house, and everbody thought she was dead.

The film is known for its humor and social criticism, and is considered a classic of Argentine cinema. The cast includes renowned actors such as China Zorrilla, Antonio Gasalla, Betiana Blum, and Enrique Pinti, among others.
