After the death of his father, Alejandro decides to rescue his mother. She is committed to a rural asylum and he believes she was unjustly confined. Now, together with that beautiful woman, Alejandro undertakes a long and exhausting journey; The two of them together and alone will be emotionally and physically challenged as they cross the inhospitable mountains of Antioquia, Colombia, on a journey of love and madness.
