Spend an afternoon and early evening photographing RHS Garden Rosemoor’s garden landscapes. In this workshop we will focus primarily on photography of garden landscapes, not just wide views but also more intimate scenes; the landscapes within the landscape.
Our photography will aim to pick out design features, where plants and built structures have been deliberately placed in certain arrangements to create a specific effect. This may range from evoking gardens of a certain part of the world, eg the Mediterranean, or a certain type of natural environment, such as a stream or a woodland glade.
You will be supported to use photographic techniques including choice of lens, careful focussing, perspective selection, and how to isolate your chosen subjects in the image frame. As you develop your photographic techniques, you will also see the structure of the garden landscape, and how its design is divided into a series of intimate views and compositions.
As well as being an enjoyable day with your camera, we will also have the garden to ourselves from 6pm, enabling some great photography, visitor free views and a chance to really explore and interact with the garden while widening your skills.
