The Awarding Winning Franklin Washington Studios presents Last Two Dollars: The Johnnie Taylor Story on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 7pm at the Rome City Auditorium.
An electrifying theater experience on the life of the "Philosopher of Soul" Johnnie Taylor. This extraordinary one-man comedy-drama stage play will absolutely move and touch your heart.
The play follows Johnnie Taylor through his musical years. Taylor was the first music artist to earn a platinum single, “Disco Lady” as he followed the footsteps of the legendary Sam Cooke. Some of his soulful hit songs are heard throughout this production.
Franklin Washington, a professional actor with lead performances ranging from The Coconut Grove Playhouse, Actors Playhouse of Coral Gables, stage plays based out of Orlando, FL and Atlanta, GA, stars as Johnnie Taylor.
Single tickets range from $10-$25 and are on sale online on Eventbrite. Last Two Dollars: The Johnnie Taylor Story Early bird tickets are available until August 31, 2022.
