Don't forget! On the last Tuesday of the month we sing from the 2012 Cooper Revision of the Sacred Harp. Remember to leave your red book at home, and bring your blue book if you have one! (There are plenty of loaners if you don't.)
New to singing? New singers are welcome at any of our singings, and we have a singing school on the first Tuesday of the month. If you have any questions, let us know!
How much does it cost?
Sacred Harp singing is always free, but we suggest a donation of around £3 if you can afford it - this helps cover the cost of room hire.
Transport:
-Faithspace is located 2 minutes away from the a1, m1, m2, 24, 52, 75, 76, 90 and 512 bus stops on Redcliffe Hill.
-If you come by bike you can stow your cycle safely indoors.
-There is free parking on site.
Accessibility:
-Entry is by either a flight of 7 steps with handrail, or level access is available to the rear of the building - this door is usually wide open on warmer days, but ring the bell or knock hard between songs on colder days.
-There is not a wheelchair accessible toilet. There are toilets with level access.
-We sing sitting down.
-If you use reading glasses, bring them - text on some songs can be small.
-If you need a break, there's a separate lobby next door to the room we sing in.
-Do not attend if you have a communicable respiratory infection such as Covid-19, a cold or the flu.
-Do not attend if you have new symptoms of a communicable respiratory infection such as Covid-19, a cold or the flu.
-Some singers take a lateral flow test before singing - it's encouraged, but we know this isn't possible for everyone.
-We sing in a large room that doesn't have openable windows. There is a door we open for ventilation as long as it's not too cold.
