This course will show the advantages of lasers for both the practitioner and the patient. It will give the dentist the information needed to make a financially and clinically sound decision regarding implementing lasers into their practice. Clinical cases will be presented to show the role of lasers in every discipline of dentistry. “Will my practice benefit from a laser or are they just expensive tools that do what I already perform today?”

About the Instuctor

Dr. Josh Vang

Dr. Vang was born and raised in the Twin Cities. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry at Carleton College. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006 from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Vang began private practice soon after graduating in 2008 at Beyond Smiles DentaSpa. He’s been able to provide treatment in all aspects of dentistry from surgical to cosmetic treatments. In 2021, he was the first dentist in Minnesota to expand practice offerings to include full facial aesthetic treatments. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, St. Paul District Dental Society and has recently become a member of the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics. He is certified for Botox and Dermal fillers.

Dr. Vang is one of the first dentists to open a laser focused med spa in Minnesota. He has been practicing all tissue laser procedures since 2019. His laser interests include facial aesthetics , photobiomodulation (laser therapy) and non-ablative airway treatments. He is a modest, down to earth educator with a zest for sharing knowledge with other dentists.
