Everyone is talking about lasagne pots and they are very easy to put together and really effective.

Choose a selection of bulbs that will flower in succession, planting the latest to flower on the bottom layer of compost with compost between each group. Top the pot off with some violas and the bulbs will come through in the spring and look gorgeous. Some will inevitably overlap so choose colours that will compliment one another.

It is easy to choose a selection that can be colourful from February to late May.

The workshop begins with a demonstration and you then have the chance to create your own container planted with our help.

Buy your container, pot or basket from the selection we have at the nurseries or bring your own from home. Often overlooked is the colour available to us through the winter. Most of the bulbs used in these baskets can be planted out into the garden when we are ready to refill our baskets in April/May.

Arrive at 10.15 am for 10.30 am start. The talk ends at 12 noon.

You may bring in a container or basket to refill or you are welcome to select and purchase a new container.

This is £10.00 non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee. You will only be charged for the materials you use such as plants you choose and compost.

The Tipis are open from 9am-4pm every day. Our kitchen stops serving hot food at 3.30pm

• Afternoon tea at £28.95 per person ( 48 hours' notice and online bookings with 4 days’ notice please, min 2 people)

• Upgrade to a 20cl piccolo bottle of prosecco at £11.50 or a 75cl bottle of prosecco at £29.00.
• Child plate (age 12 and under) £14.50

Our menu features a range of delicious sweet and savoury treats including :-

* A macaroon biscuit and mint chocolate
