Il s'agit d'une NOUVELLE date pour l'événement qui était initialement prévu le 11 mars.

Pour célébrer le Mois de la Francophonie, nous vous convions à une soirée en compagnie de Sophie Laurin, auteure de Montréal, à la succursale Orléans de la Bibliothèque publique d’Ottawa. Madame Laurin nous parlera de ce qu’elle a écrit dans le genre des intrigues amoureuses, en particulier son dernier roman, On le dira pas à nos enfants (2025). Cette soirée est offerte dans le cadre de la Série d’auteurs de la BPO, à l’occasion du Mois de la Francophonie.

L’événement se tiendra exclusivement en français.

Il se terminera par une séance de questions et de signature. Nos amis de la librairie Le coin du livre seront sur place pour vendre les livres de Sophie Laurin.

Sophie Laurin

Sophie adore raconter de bonnes histoires. Journaliste et rédactrice pour plusieurs publications, elle a aussi écrit quatre romans publiés par Hurtubise : En route vers nowhere (2020), Fausses routes (2021), Copilotes (2023) et On le dira pas à nos enfants (2025), dont plus de 40 000 exemplaires se sont vendus au Québec. Lorsqu’elle n’est pas en train de réfléchir à une nouvelle histoire, Sophie voyage et essaie d’apprendre à cuisiner.

This is a NEW date for the event that was originally scheduled to take place on March 11th.

In celebration of Month of La Francophonie please join us at the Orléans branch of the Ottawa Public Library for an evening with Montréal-based author Sophie Laurin. She will discuss her work in the romance genre and in particular her latest - On le dira pas à nos enfants (2025). This event is part of our Author series and coincides with the Month of La Francophonie.

This event will take place in French only.

Q&A with the audience and autograph session to follow. Our friends from Coin du livre bookstore will be on hand selling Sophie’s books.

About Sophie Laurin

Sophie Laurin loves telling good stories. A journalist and editor for various publications, she is also the author of four novels published by Hurtubise: En route vers nowhere (2020), Fausses routes (2021), Copilotes (2023), and On le dira pas à nos enfants (2025), with more than 40,000 copies sold in Quebec. When she's not thinking about her next story, she spends her time traveling and trying to learn how to cook.
