GLENN MUSTO: Critically acclaimed Western Australian singer songwriter Glenn Musto returns to the Green Note to share his acutely emotional and deeply spiritual songs and stories from new vinyl release “Unravel”. Inspired by the elements and his animal sanctuary home nestled in the Australian high country, Glenn’s music is both vulnerable and powerful, exploring stories of connection, trauma and healing through a rotating lens of indie, folk, rock and lo-fi genres. The emotional sensitivity of Elliot Smith
The lo-fi style of Guided By Voices
The melodic sensibility of REM
The hard edge and soft centre of Smith Street Band
“A harsh-lit mirror on life, regret and difficult decisions, these intense musical offerings combine with Musto’s penchant for a melodic hook, balancing the shadows with slithers of hope and light” Pitchfork
LARS WALLIN: Three chord folk/world/punk acoustic act with a melancholic sound of the 70’s New York (Bowery), the outback, Kreuzberg and Bohuslän. Hailing from the small Swedish town of Uddevalla and founded in the year 1995,
Lars Wallin and TribeLars have the ability to draw the attention of audiences, telling compelling stories about life, travels and efforts for a more peaceful and prosperous world. Lars Wallin’s songs have influences from the protest/folk music of the 60s, to the prog/reggae/punk of the 70s, to the Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime. The band’s music can be described as a blend from the 1977 Bowery in New York to the Australian bush. You will also find influences from the desert rebels in northern Africa, the touareg people. Musicians from the famous touareg groups Atri N´Assouf and Tarlamt were involved during the recording of Rue de mémoire in Paris march 2013.
Lars Wallin and TribeLars have more than 10 years of experience working with The White Cockatoo Performing Group, an indigenous group hailing from Maningrida, Arnhem Land. Lars Wallin has performed on a number of occasions with Chris Bailey of The Saints (Aus) and opened for acts such as The New Christs, Blue King Brown. Together, the band has performed at a number of venues around the world, from the bars of Eastern Europe to royal weddings (Frederik and Mary in Denmark).
