Teachers love grammar. Students, notoriously, do not — unless they're the nerdy one in the back row who secretly wants to be a linguist too. (No judgment. We were all that kid once.) 😉

This session is about reframing that whole relationship. Instead of teaching grammar as a set of rules to memorize, we'll treat it as the toolkit that makes the functions of language actually work — the "how" behind what students are trying to do at each level.

We'll start by looking at what those functions actually are at the major proficiency levels, then work through how grammar supports the functions being performed at each one. From there, we'll talk about how to integrate that thinking across all four modalities: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
