Expect distorted guitars, powerful vocals, catchy pop choruses, and soft, melodic ballads that come to life on stage in an energetic and intense performance. The lyrics explore the doubts that arise and the overwhelming feelings that come with a broken heart. They also aim to show that men should feel free to put their emotions into words, while touching on the feeling of being stuck in a life dominated by routine.
In July 2023, the band released their debut EP, ‘The Weight of My World’, and also performed at that year’s SPOT Festival in Aarhus. Lara Luna describes their sound as a potential love child of Biffy Clyro, Mew, Phoebe Bridgers, and Tim Christensen — alternative pop/rock with unexpected elements.
Lara Luna was also selected by members of the Danish music industry to participate in MudMusic, a talent development programme run by Kansas City and Posten.
The members’ strong dedication to music has led to performances at festivals such as SPOT Festival (2021 and 2023) and Midtfyns Festival (2021), as well as at venues of all sizes across Denmark.
