November is Diabetes Month, and New Zealand's Lions Clubs are calling all New Zealanders to help them ''Lap the Map'' for diabetes prevention. Can you help us walk a combined distance surpassing the perimeter of the New Zealand coastline (15,000km)?
Our Lions Club will be hosting a family-friendly walk around the Pit Rim on Sunday, 17th November, and you can join in the fun anytime between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon - don't worry; you only need to walk the Pit Rim once (but can go more times if you like!) Your total walk/km will contribute to the ultimate 15,000km goal.
We'll be collecting a gold coin donation, and all funds raised will go towards diabetes awareness, prevention and research. Diabetes is a growing problem in New Zealand, so let's do what we can to prevent and research Diabetes in our country!
