About this Event

Come stroll through historic Pioneer Village for this 7th annual family-friendly event. You will be enchanted by the soft light of jack-o-lanterns while listening to spooky tales (Flashlights Optional). 

Free Parking ~ RAIN OR SHINE

Children 3 and under are admitted FREE.

This Friday night Lanterns in the Village fundraiser supports all positive events for the students of Collins Middle School located in Salem. 100% of the proceeds will support our school!

Is there ID requirements or age restrictions to enter the event?

There are no ID requirements or age restrictions for this event. This is a family-friendly event. It is not like a haunted house. Nothing will jump out at you. The spookiest part of the event is that it is set in the dark. You have the option to enter the houses where stories are being told.

What are my parking options at the event?

Parking is Free at Forest River Park. There is a large parking lot at Forest River Park.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Dogs are not allowed unless you require a service dog. You can bring flashlights to assist you in the dark. There is some light, but lighting is limited. Alcohol is not permitted in the Village.

Is my ticket transferrable?

Sorry. Tickets not transferable or refundable.

Can you purchase tickets at the door?

Yes. Tickets may be purchased at the door if they are still available the night of the event. Tickets are sold online only. When the tickets sell-out, they sell-out.  

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Yes, to see the pumpkins, however, the terrain is a bit bumpy. The houses where the stories are told are unfortunately not handicap accessible.

How long does it take to complete the event?

The event is divided into four 45-minute intervals. 6:30-7:15pm, 7:15-8:00pm, 8:00-8:45pm and 8:45-9:30pm.  You choose the best 45 minute viewing time for you and your party. Each ticket costs $13.00. Children 3 and under are FREE.  We ask that patrons be cooperative and mindful of the next group that will be viewing the event.
