Lantern Puppet Workshops: INTERMEDIATE SESSION 2

Join the Springfield Lit Creature Keepers to create your very own lantern creature! Workshops are available for all ages and skill levels, hosted by Springfield Preservation and Revitalization and Historic Springfield Society.
JUNE 18: BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE (SESSION 1)
Crafters of all ages will meet at the SPAR Office (1321 N Main St) from 6-8 PM for the project of their choice using provided supplies:
- BEGINNER Paper Lantern Creature (ideal for kids with adult help, and novice adult crafters)
- INTERMEDIATE Paper Fish Lantern (ideal for older children or craftier adults), to be completed over TWO sessions (June 18 & June 25). This project is a prerequisite for Advanced workshops to follow.

JUNE 25: INTERMEDIATE (SESSION 2)
- Crafters who started their Paper Fish Lanterns on June 18 will complete the project June 25 at the SPAR Office (1321 N Main St) from 6-8 PM
JULY 21, AUGUST 25 & SEPTEMBER 22: ADVANCED
- Advanced crafters (who have either completed the Intermediate workshops or received approval from the Springfield Lit Creature Keepers) will meet at the Historic Springfield Society Building (210 W 7th St) from 6-8 PM on the above dates for guidance and support as they create their own large-scale lantern creatures, like Springfield's own Opal the Flamingo!
- Supplies and direct instruction will not be provided, but experienced lantern-makers will be on-hand to help troubleshoot and share tips as you complete your project.
