Join the LEDC’s Art Committee, the businesses of Lansdowne, and Open Sound on Thursday, September 26th, from 5 PM to 8 PM. This free event invites you to explore the creative spaces of talented artists at the Utility Works and MakerSpace Artist Studio Buildings, enjoy local businesses with their pop-up artist highlights, and experience a pop-up concert along the way. Come discover unique art, engage with the artists, and enjoy a vibrant community atmosphere in our charming downtown.What to Expect
5 - 8 PM, Artist Studios Open for Touring: Meet the artists behind the work at Utility Works and the MakerSpace while enjoying a glass of wine and small bites. See where the magic happens and learn about their creative processes. Participating artists include Nicole Gordon, Robin Helling, John Kovach, Colleen McCarthy, Susan O'Reilly, Zach Ozma, Nicky Pasterfield, Mary Lou Ryce, Stephanie Strassel, Karen Tate, Maura Williams, Woodley White and Jean Wong. Organized by the Lansdowne Art Committee of the LEDC.
5 - 8 PM, Art Galleries Open for Touring: See curated exhibitions at the 20*20 House, Gallery 26 (Fire and Ice, Ashleyann Kaltschmid and Joshua Metzger), Kiosk Gallery, and the MakerSpace Window Space (Joe Klaus).
5 - 10 PM, Business and Artist Pop-Ups: Local businesses, including Camellia Coffee, Scrappy Cat (hosting James Anthony Mariano), Crisp Ckik’n, Jamey’s House of Music, Sophusion, and Sweet Gardenia, will stay open late so that you can explore our walkable downtown. Artists will have pop-ups along the way.
7 - 10 PM, Live Music: Enjoy live performances by Red Birds, Love? Said the Commander, and Night Windows at16 N Lansdowne Ave. (next to Scrappy Cat). Curated by Open Sound. Weather permitting.
If that's not enough to fill your night, stop down to the 20th Century Club (84 S. Lansdowne Ave) and check out live performances by Marc Douglas Berardo and Walt Wilkins. Curated by Lansdowne Folk Club. This is a ticketed event.
