Day 3: Fly to Gosaikunda Lake (20 minutes) and ride to Chandan bari ( 4 hours)
The helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Gosaikunda takes around 20 minutes. After breakfast, we will assemble the bikes and head out to the trails. The first section of the trail is relatively easy, passing by breathtaking views. Then, riding past Laurebina Pass, enjoy the stunning landscape of Langtang Lirung. You will soon experience rocky and bumpy trails to Cholangapti. The path then becomes smoother until Chandan bari. Overnight at Chandan Bari.
Day 4: Ride to Syabrubesi
Right after breakfast, we will head to Syabrubeshi. Today, the trail consists of switchbacks and steep downhill sections that will test your riding skills. Finally, the last leg of the course meets the highway—overnight at Syabrubesi.
Day 5: Fly to Kyanjin Gompa and ride to Lama Hotel
Today’s route will take us to the old Buddhist monastery of Kyanjin Gompa. After an early breakfast, the helicopter will drop us off at Kyanjin Gompa ( 3860m). The biking route consists of flowy single trails with breathtaking views of Mount Ghanchepo (6,387 m) and Langtang Lirung (7,227 m). Be prepared to carry your bikes in some short sections. Overnight at Lama hotel.
Day 6: Ride to Syabrubesi
After riding downhill to Syabrubesi, we will continue on the trail via Sherpa gaon. Some sections of the trail require you to push and carry your bikes. We will ride down to Syabrubesi, following the path via Sherpa gaon. Today’s route includes exposed sections that flow very well. The stunning view of the rolling hills makes the ride more enjoyable. Towards the end of the course, we’ll reach the jeep tracks.
Day 7: Drive to Kathmandu
The drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu is enjoyable, with scenic hills and mountains. At Kathmandu, spend your time at leisure.
Day 8: Kathmandu city cultural tour
For the last day, we will visit some UNESCO heritage sites, the best of Kathmandu tour. We will start at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, locally known as Khwopa Lyaku. It is 13 KM east of Kathmandu City. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which comprises four courtyard sections, is known for its exquisite traditional architecture with intricate wood carvings. Next is the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites.
The enclosed area also houses several cafes and shops. After a quick break, we will head towards Pashupatinath temple, one of the most important Hindu temples in the world. Pashupatinath is a massive center of vibrant energy, with people rushing to see the holy Shiva Lingam. Birth and death rituals are conducted every day on the temple’s riverbank.
Our final stop is the famous monkey temple, or Swayambhunath mahachaitya, important to Buddhists and Hindus alike. Located at one of the highest hillocks in Kathmandu, we’ll climb it’s daunting steep steps to reach the main complex.
