Landmarks of Antiquity: Celebrating 75 Years of Northern Ireland’s Archaeological Survey
To mark the 75th anniversary of the Archaeological Survey of Northern Ireland, the Historic Environment Record of Northern Ireland (HERoNI) would like to invite you to celebrate this occasion by joining us at HERoNI in a two-part event. Part 1. delves into the story and history of how the Northern Ireland’s archaeological survey came to be established, highlighting key players such as Dudley Waterman and Pat Collins who were first appointed by the Ministry of Finance in 1950. Part 2. celebrates the Launch of the Archaeological Investigations layer on HED map viewer with an interactive hands on workshop to demonstrate how this map layer is used.
