Few performers have generated a more passionate fan base or influenced more lifestyles than singer Jimmy Buffett. His passing in September of 2023 raised comparisons of Elvis Presley to an earlier generation. In his 60-plus year career, JB released 32 studio albums, numerous Live albums, a Broadway soundtrack, and five novels. In addition to his media offerings Buffett licensed his name to a chain of restaurants and resorts as well as a line of Margaritaville Rum, Tequila and Landshark Beer.Buffett’s death of Merkel Cell Carcinoma in 2023 sparked a re-birth of his music to legions of old fans and a discovery of his music to legions of new fans.“LANDFALL - Celebrating the Music & Spirit of Jimmy Buffett” celebrates a musical catalog spanning six decades, from the familiar sing-along songs you know by heart, to deeper cuts and newer material like Bubbles Up, from JB's most recent album. It’s full circle that 35 years after discovering Jimmy as I was getting into sailing and exploring the Caribbean at the urging of JB’s music, I find myself living on the beach playing his music again.
