Sewing Weekender!
We are thrilled to announce our first Sewing Weekender!
This is aimed at dressmakers, quilters and bag makers. Machine embroiderers - you have your own weekenders!
The weekender will take place from Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st June 2026. We have sixteen places available and will take place at the four star Lancaster House Hotel, Green Lane, Lancaster. LA1 4GJ. This is five minutes' drive from J33 of the M6. Lancaster house is a tried and tested venue for Lamcaster Stitchers and we can't imagine a better venue to hold our Weekenders!
The residential price includes two nights' accommodation, breakfast, two course lunch and set menu evening meal; together with drinks and pastries mid-morning and drinks and biscuits mid-afternoon. Lancaster House is a four star hotel and you will be able to avail yourself of the Leisure Suite with swimming pool subject to availability. There is also a hairdresser and beautician on site - booking essential.
If you prefer to arrange your own accommodation then a three day delegate rate is available which excludes bed, breakfast, evening meal and the use of the leisure suite. It does include your morning and afternoon snacks and a two course lunch on each day.
We have exclusive use of the Dalton Suite for the duration of the event, so you can sew at any time you choose!
It is recommended you cut out your large projects before you arrive. There will be tables for cutting smaller projects (and we do have A0 cutting mats available for those of you who prefer to use a rotary cutter. You will need to bring your own sewing machine. There will be an overlocker and coverstitch machine available for you to use if required. You can, of course, bring your own additional machines and there will be space on your table to accommodate them. Each table is two metres wide (it is two 1 metre tables together). There will be sufficient space on your table to accommodate three machines.
Please note that this does not include formal tuition, but there will be very experienced dressmakers present who will be happy to help if you get "stuck".
We will be situated in the Dalton Suite at the Hotel. A beautiful room with French windows opening out onto a private enclosed courtyard. Take a look at our photos section where you will see pics of the room.
After you have paid your deposit, there is the option of paying your balance in instalments, with the final balance being due by 11th May 2026.
The cost for the Weekender as detailed above is:
Residential rate £540
Day delegate £255
You can reserve a place by paying a non-refundable deposit. For residential delegates this will be £175.00. If you choose day rate only the deposit is £95.00.
We can only run this if we sell all sixteen places. Deposits will be returned if we fail to sell all the places. DM me if you want to join us!
