Lancaster Cemetery Beautification & Fall Clean-up Event

Join Let's Go 1-2-3, Lancaster Cemetery and Northeast Neighbors United for a fall beautification and clean-up event at the Lancaster Cemetery. Fall is a great time to plant and help our community beautify and care for this exceptional, 20+ acre green space!

Please sign up to help us clean-up the cemetery and plant more natives.

Pick up a FREE native tree or shrub to take home! Plus, learn more about native plants in Lancaster! The Lancaster Cemetery is located at the corner of East Lemon Street and North Lime Street. Parking is available on the cemetery grounds.

Volunteers are needed to:

• plant a new cemetery plot with native and pollinator friendly plants
• transplant trees/shrubs to new locations and add new native plants to fill open areas
• cut back invasive species (ex. English ivy climbing trees)
• weeding and mulching of existing trees and shrubs
• trash, litter and stick pickup

What to bring:

• water bottle
• shovel
• gloves (extras provided)
• weeding tool
• hand pruners (for minor pruning and cutting back vegetation)
• a smile (required)

Please note: Extra shovels, gloves, PPE supplies, and a few wheelbarrows will be onsite. Volunteers are encouraged to dress for weather and wear protective shoes.
