About this Event
Lancashire Architects host Sam Beddingfield and Andrew King from Hawkins \ Brown to discuss the Blackpool Multiversity project. The Blackpool Multiversity is a bold new vision for education and regeneration, created through a partnership between Blackpool Council and Blackpool and The Fylde College. Located at the heart of the town centre, this state-of-the-art campus will offer a world-class learning environment designed to empower students and uplift the wider community. Beyond education, the Multiversity will bring lasting benefits to Blackpool and the Fylde Coast—boosting skills, health, biodiversity, and economic opportunity. Landscaped public spaces will connect residential communities with the buzz of the town centre, offering places to gather, reflect, and grow.
Hawkins\Brown have been working with Blackpool Council on the vision for the Multiversity since 2020. Sam and Andrew work from Hawkins\Brown’s Studio North in Manchester and are currently working on the delivery of the scheme. They look forward to sharing the journey the project has been on and Hawkins\Brown’s design process for the scheme as they look forward to starting on site in 2026.
