Hi all, an important update:
TL;DR Alê and Victoria were turned away at immigration last night. But Lambada is still ON.
Due to factors out of our control and their control, Alê and Victoria won’t be joining us this weekend as they were turned away at U.S. immigration last night. ? We’re beyond bummed for us, for you, and especially for the artists.
What does this mean for LambaBeat? We’re grateful and excited to announce a collaboration between Midwest’s own Gabriel (yep, he’s back!!), Verity Rose, and a very special guest from Brazil, Fernando ⭐️ The artists are different, but LAMBADA IS ON. We aim to keep the general hours of the schedule, but the specifics are yet to be determined. Keep an eye on the Facebook event for updates and announcements.
What does this mean for you? We know this is unprecedented and inconvenient for those coming, and we will be reaching out to everyone individually with the option of joining us or receiving a credit to a future V Rose event.
Though we know this was out of our control, we feel the impact of the situation and are truly so sorry this has happened. We were genuinely excited to spend a whole weekend with Alê and Victoria and for y’all to experience their magic and the special magic they bring to Lambada. Thank you for your understanding, and we’ll speak with you all soon.

Verity Rose (she/her) started dancing at age 3 when she joined a friend’s tap/ballet class in Seattle, WA. Her passion for dance ignited instantly—so much so that she would eagerly ask her mom each morning, "Am I going to dance class today?" Dance has been her lifelong passion ever since.
In August 2021 she moved to Iowa City, and In April 2022 she founded V Rose Productions in order to bring Zouk to the community. Since then, she has successfully hosted over 13 weekenders in Iowa City, Fairfield, Des Moines, Chicago, and Milwaukee. The profound joy and positive impact she's experienced from Brazilian Zouk drives her mission to share the art with as many people as possible across the Midwest and beyond through teaching and organizing community-, growth-, and heart-centric events.
