ABOUT FLOCK OF DIMES
Fans of Wye Oak will recognize the powerful voice and singular guitar tone of Jenn Wasner, who brings her Flock of Dimes project to NCMA Winston-Salem in support of her fantastic second album, ???? ?? ????? (Sub Pop).
On the album, Jenn Wasner follows a winding thread of intuition into the unknown and into healing, led by gut feelings and the near-spiritual experience of visceral songwriting. The result is a combination of Wasner's ability to embrace new levels of vulnerability, honesty and openness, with the self-assuredness that comes with a decade-plus career as a songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and prolific collaborator.

PRAISE FOR FLOCK OF DIMES
"Even as she surveys heartbreak and self-doubt, Jenn Wasner's second solo album sounds confident. Textural layers of guitar and synth offer depth, yet allow her voice to lead the way." – ?????????
"???? ?? ?????, the second Flock of Dimes full-length, is that better record — one of the highlights of Wasner's long, winding career. It's also the project that revealed a creative paradox: Sometimes what an artist needs to become even more of herself is a little help from her friends." – ?? ?????

ABOUT THE QUEEN BEES
The Queen Bees are three North Carolina-based multimedia artists: musician and journalist Molly McGinn on guitar and vocals; creative producer and musician Kate M. on violin, vocals, and drum; and electronic music producer and anthropologist Quilla on keys, beats, and vocals.
The Queen Bees weave together traditional acoustic instruments with modern electronic components, creating an original blend of music that uplifts audiences with strong beats, meticulous stringed arrangements, delightful vocal harmonies, and bright rhythm guitar. While their work together dates back to collaborative projects as early as 2016, their first official performance as The Queen Bees was at The North Carolina Folk Festival in 2023.

ABOUT LAKESIDE
Drawing inspiration from a legendary 1990 Sun Ra Arkestra performance at the same spot, Lakeside is a new genre-bending concert series showcasing today's best pop and rock acts on the scenic grounds of NCMA Winston-Salem. With a stage situated on a picturesque hillside overlooking a spring-fed lake, the landscape's natural amphitheater and wooded setting creates a concert experience unlike any other.
