Come meet the wonderful dogs from our rescue who are searching for their forever homes!
How It Works:
1. Meet the Dogs
Stop by the event to spend time with our adoptable pups and see if you make a connection.
2. Submit an Application
If you find a dog youâre interested in, head back to our shelter to complete an adoption application.
Want to save time? Submit your application in advance at www.LakeshorePaws.org/Adopt
. Approved applications remain on file for 6 months.
3. Foster-to-Adopt Trial
If you do not currently have other dogs at home:
You can take your potential new pup home for a 3-day Foster-to-Adopt trial. We provide all supplies and food. If itâs a perfect fit, youâll finalize the adoption after the trial!
If you have other dogs at home:
Youâll first schedule a meet-and-greet appointment at our rescue. Our experienced volunteers will carefully supervise a slow introduction between your dog(s) and the potential new dog.
If everyone gets along, youâll move forward with a 3-day Foster-to-Adopt trial to ensure itâs the right match.
