Join us for our monthly wellness public event with a Tai Chi lesson and community stroll around the 0.55 mile walking trail at the beautiful Lake Tomahawk Park in Black Mountain. This event is open to public so bring your friends, loved ones, and family.
🍃 11:00 Tai Chi lesson and demonstration:
You will have the option to participate in the Tai Chi lesson while seated or standing. The Tai Chi form that will be taught has been shown to relieve pain, improve physical function, increase balance and reduce the risk of falls. This powerful mind-body exercise also helps to reduce stress and improve relaxation.
🍃 12:00 Lunch: A Jamaican lunch and beverages will be provided by Queen's Island Cuisine to enjoy with friends in the shaded pavilion area.
Please let us know if you require transportation from one of our pick-up locations. You are also welcome to drive and meet us at the park.
This event is wheelchair friendly. 2 spots are available for wheelchair users on the bus so make sure to let us know if you need accommodations and transport.
This event is held in partnership with Area Agency on Aging Department of Land of Sky. We are so excited to be hosting these events every month in different parks!
There is a suggested donation of $20, but no one is turned away from lack of funds.
