Want to give Swimrun a try? This trail running and swimming adventure will test your endurance and give you a super fun new sport to do! (learn more here: https://swimrun.com/)We will be meeting at the Lakeview Day Use Area at Lake Pleasant ($7.00 entry fee) where we will start our adventure with a short trail run to the water where we will do a short .5 mi out and back swim.
From here you have 2 choices. Keep it short and simple, and head back up the trail to the parking lot where you can repeat that leg or set of on a much longer adventure that will total around 9-10 miles of trail running and swimming.
I am going to pre-test this route long before our event and will update the exact milage at that time.
Equipment needed:
Safety swim buoy
Trail running shoes you don't mind getting wet
Socks that prevent blistering and debris from entering
Pull buoy that can be attached to you somehow
Brightly colored swim cap and goggles
A way of carrying water and fuel (dry bag safety buoy is perfect)
Depending on water temperature, a wetsuit you can run in
