Lake Natoma Trail Run - 5k & 10kKick off summer with the Lake Natoma Trail Run on June 6, 2026! Cruise scenic foothill trails, soak in lake views, and celebrate the spirit of adventure in California’s historic gold country. Formerly known as the Mississippi Bar Trail Run, it's back and better than ever!
Hosted by the Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District, this annual trail run travels through the wetlands, oaks and single track on the north shore of Lake Natoma. This beautiful area in Fair Oaks once mined by gold prospectors is a real gem for outdoor enthusiasts and is a great location for hikes, bird watching, horseback rides, mountain biking and, of course, trail running. This year we will be adding a Kids run option for those under 10 years old looking for a fun challenge! We look forward to seeing you at our fifth annual event on June 6, 2026.
