About this Event

The Lake Mahopac Rotary Club is extremely happy to announce it's line up of stars for their upcoming 10th Annual Rock & Soul Spectacular, taking place on Mother's Day Weekend, Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Mahopac High School Auditorium.

The Trammps are an American disco and soul band, who were based in Philadelphia and were one of the first disco bands. The band's first major success was their 1972 cover version of "Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart", while the first disco track they released was "Love Epidemic" in 1973. They are best known for their song "Disco Inferno" which was included on the Grammy winning Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

Bobby Wilson, son of legendary R&B/Soul singer Jackie Wilson, shares the same amazing traits and talents of his father. Many say Jackie Wilson's legacy lives on through Bobby. His adoring fans have dubbed him ‘Mr. Entertainment’ from his natural ability to entertain and bring every crowd to their feet. Bobby is also a three-time Grammy Balloted Artist with his latest CD, "It's About Time", and four Top 10 hits that packed #10 on the Adult Contemporary Charts. Whether performing Jackie’s hits or Motown favorites, “what you’re going to see is Bobby Wilson giving you all he’s got on stage,” the singer says, “And my dad’s going to show himself, you’re going to hear him and you’re going to see him … I feel my dad around me a lot,” a presence, he added, that’s felt by his audience during every show.

The Chiclettes from The Supremes to Chaka Khan, Lesley Gore to Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin to The Pointer Sisters… The Chiclettes (with The Coda Band) will get you moving with their high energy tribute to female artists through the decades! Performing hit after hit, they remind us of the remarkable contributions these artists made to pop music through the years. They have shared the stage with many Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, and also use their harmony talents to back up artists like Little Anthony, Bobby Rydell, Eddie Holman, Darlene Love, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Wilson & more. They have appeared on NBC, PIX, QED TV & CBS radio in addition to venues of all types & sizes, and social media events around the country. They are also repeat performers on the Time/Life© sponsored Malt Shop Memories Cruise yearly. Wherever they perform, the combination of energetic talent and live renderings of some of the greatest songs ever recorded always leaves a lasting impression.

Richie Santa is an Elvis Tribute Artist based in New Jersey. His show focuses on the Vegas/Jumpsuit years of Elvis' career. Singing and entertaining for many years, Richie found his passion when he started portraying Elvis and never looked back. In 2019 he was inducted into the ETA Hall of Fame, an honor he cherishes. Richie is now in his 15th year and he continues to give his all and do his part in keeping the Elvis legacy alive and well. There was only one Elvis, he lit the candle, and as a tribute artist, Richie carries the torch for the greatest entertainer to ever grace a stage.

Oldies Radio Station WGNY / 98.9 FM will be one of the sponsors for this night of rock and roll and soul, for the Rotary Club's 10th Anniversary of bringing musical entertainment to the Mahopac Community.

The Coda Band will once again be back to Mahopac to back up the evening's talent .

Tickets, $40 in advance ($45 night of event), can be purchased in addition within the Mahopac Community at PCSB Bank (Mahopac Branch), Route 6 Deli and d'Berto's Pizzeria.
