Lake Lizzie Preserve Hike - South Loop / Marsh Loop areaAbout this Event
We will be hiking the south side of Lake Lizzie Preserve (off of Old Melbourne Hwy) to look for rare native plants that bloom in June, including: rose pogonia, sundews and pitcher plants. Please be at the trailhead by 7:50 a.m. and ready to hike at 8 a.m.
Please come prepared to hike in the Florida heat, bringing water, snack, sunscreen, and bug spray. Since we will be in marshy areas, appropriate footwear is suggested.
FACE MASKS STILL REQUIRED, and you will have to sign a waiver form onsite.
Note that there is a composting toilet at the trailhead.
