Karen was born on Chicago’s south side as the second of eleven kids — which basically means she learned early how to sing loud enough to be heard. Her roots run deep in blues and soul, lit by legends like Sarah Vaughan, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Hendrix, The Indigo Girls, Brandi Carlile, and Cyndi Lauper.
She’s taught kids’ music at the iconic Old Town School of Folk Music, recorded for radio spots, worked on TV variety shows, and brings a catalog that swings from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley, Dolly Parton to The Beatles — all the Feel Good Songs that reset your week in the best way.
Add in our comfort food with a modern twist, 20 Wisconsin beers on tap, a proper cocktail list, and that lakeview… and suddenly Wednesday looks pretty smart.
