🎉 Join us for the Lake & Shore Days 2026 Porters Lake Street Parade! 🎉
The parade returns on Saturday, August 15 for a morning filled with colour, creativity and community spirit. Whether you participate in the parade, volunteer along the route or bring your family to watch, we would love to have you join us!
🌊 This year’s Lake & Shore Days theme is **Under the Sea**! Parade participants are encouraged to have fun with the theme when decorating their floats, planning their costumes or creating their walking-group displays.
📅 Saturday, August 15, 2026
⏰ Parade begins at 10:00 AM
📍 Porters Lake, Nova Scotia
🚨 VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED 🚨
To safely hold the parade, we need volunteers stationed at intersections along the route. These volunteers play an essential role in keeping the route safe and helping the parade move smoothly.
No special experience is required, and instructions will be provided. Anyone interested in helping can contact our volunteer parade lead, Crystal Crowell, or email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
